Jim's training as a teacher of environmental biology influenced his choice of becoming a color landscape photographer in the 1970's. His travels over the years have taken him to some of the more remote and beautiful places on our planet. Working with large and medium format cameras, he has spent years in the field in all conditions, looking for the special qualities of a place. He is also a master darkroom printer, having studied with Eliot Porter and using the Dye Transfer process. Today, he is accomplished as a digital printer. He often says the photography is a means to be in contact with nature and that the photographs deal with an appreciation of the natural environment as much as they do with art. |

Robin's foundation as a painter has had a direct influence on her color still life photography. Her work has evolved throughout her carreer including traditional and contemporary still life subject matter. This unique interpretation is both beautiful and imaginative, emphasizing color relationships, design and texture. She is currently in transition from years as a traditional dark room printer to the digital darkroom, a slow but necessary process. |
